La Purisima Mission State Park

Founded on December 8, 1787. 

The mission hosts over 200,000 visitors each year.

Open nearly every day for self guided tours.

During the 1820's residents engaged in weaving, pottery making,
 candle making,blacksmithing, livestock production & leatherwork.

Great place for lunch!

The land was home to Chumash people and Spanish
settlers.
